Job Title: Nursery Manager

Salary: £28,000 to £35,000 depending on experience
Hours: 40 Hours Per Week Monday to Friday

Bresta Early Years Recruitment are looking for an energetic and passionate Nursery Manager to manage the nursery and be responsible for all operational, regulatory and learning aspects of the role. Leading, managing and developing the nursery team ensuring that each staff member makes a positive contribution to children’s learning and development.
To ensure all legislation in relation to regulatory bodies, inclusion, safeguarding and health and safety is complied with and that company policies and procedures are adhered to and implemented.

The Role
- Support and promote individual children’s early educational and development needs in the setting by demonstrating and ensuring good practise to all staff as per Ofsted requirements, the EYFS, Development Matters, MRN’s Policies and Procedures and current and updated legislation.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the Key Person system in the setting by providing them with feedback and resolving any issues.
- Monitor, track and evaluate the progress of all children attending the setting and advise suitable age and stage appropriate learning goals for them to their Key Persons.
- Oversee the planning and implementation of activities in line with EYFS.
- Ensure that resources, learning experiences and the environment are age and stage appropriate, organised and developed in the setting.
- Oversee that positive behaviour is promoted, self-control and independence through using effective behaviour management strategies and developing children’s social, emotional and behavioural skills.
- Ensure that equality, diversity and inclusion is incorporated and celebrated in children’s learning.
- Promote healthy eating and habits during mealtimes and routines as well as menu reviews.
- Ensure children with SEND have appropriate arrangements in place to facilitate their learning in the best possible way
- Work effectively with outside agencies, where and when appropriate, to ensure the child/children receives the best possible learning outcomes
- Discuss children’s progress and plan next stages in their learning with the key person, colleagues, parents and/or carers.
- Ensuring room routines are being followed and run smoothly.
- Ensure all records are up to date
- Take a lead role in the monitoring and development of high quality of learning.
- Effectively manage the day to day running of the nursery
- Provide in-house training to staff when required
- To undertake training and constructively take part in meetings, supervisions and appraisals
- Spend time role modelling to the staff team in order to reflect on practise and improve the quality and of care and learning
- Market the nursery to prospective parents
- Key holder for the nursery.
