POSITION: Deputy Nursery Manager
SALARY: GBP20,000 - GBP23,000
HOURS: 40 hours Per week
NURSERY SPACE: 30 Children
DESCRIPTION:
Our client a beautiful nursery in Kensal Rise, London, is currently recruiting for a friendly, passionate and motivated individual to join their welcoming and committed team as a Deputy Nursery Manager.
This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Room Leader or current Deputy Manager looking for a new challenge to work as a team with the Nursery Manager.
Some of the Deputy Manager Responsibilities will include (Not limited to):
· Manage the practitioners and quality of childcare within a room ensuring stimulating and inspiring activities are provided for the children in the room.
· To offer support to staff who are studying for the NVQ qualification.
· To work in a flexible and professional manner alongside the team for the benefit of the nursery.
· To clearly communicate with parents in a professional manner in order to resolve any queries and provide information requested for example fees or showing the nursery to potential parents.
· To have the ability to use a computer to carry out various tasks.
· To take responsibility of being a key-holder.
· To be responsible for opening and closing the nursery as and when required.
· To work in line with the company policies and procedures when carrying out any tasks.
· Ensure the nursery complies with Ofsted requirements and ensures good practice as set out in the EYFS Practice Guidance.
· Compliance with all regulatory requirements for example, Health and Safety Law and Employment Law.
· Assist the Nursery Manager to provide professional leadership and management of the nursery and to help ensure that all children receive the highest standards of care and education.
· Must be able to manage the nursery in the absence of the Manager executing the responsibilities of a Nursery Manager.
Ideal Candidate:
· You MUST have a full and relevant NVQ 3 or equivalent qualification in Childcare.
· Possess good written and verbal skills
· Due to the nature of this job, candidates will be subject to UK eligibility checks together with Enhance Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks and two satisfactory references.
