Senior Nursery Nurse needed in a beautiful purpose built nursery in Stanmore
Senior Nursery Nurse roles and responsibilities:
- Observe, plan and track children’s learning and development effectively.
- Complete learning journals and daily reports.
- Give support to your team members and work well within a team
- Ensure the smooth running of the learning room in the Room Leader’s absence
- Ensuring that each team member is given the required support, development and coaching to maintain competence.
Senior nursery nurses need to have the following qualifications, training and experience:
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year post qualifying experience in a large nursery setting.
- Clear DBS
- Understanding of play based approach to children’s learning and development
- An understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
- Knowledge of child protection procedures
- Passion for working with children
- Strong communication skills: written and verbal
- Good timekeeping and organisational skills
- To be able to work and lead a team effectively.
- An enthusiastic, flexible, can do attitude.
