Bretsa Early Years is a recruitment agency supplying staff to various nurseries on a temporary and permanent basis.
A lovely nursery in Bushey is currently looking for a reliable and enthusiastic nursery practitioner for maternity cover.
The nursery is open between 07:30 and 18:30 Monday to Friday, so all applicants for this position must be able to accommodate any shifts between these times.
It is essential that applicants for this position hold at least a level 3 childcare/early years qualification. Applicants qualified after 30th June 2016 must also have a full paediatric first aid certificate no older than 3 years old. Ideally applicants will have safeguarding training already, but if not Bretsa will enrol you on a course.
Nursery Practitioner roles and responsibilities:
·To contribute a high standard of care for children placed in the Nursery
·To provide age appropriate, fun, stimulating and educational activities
·Interact and supervise children with an understanding of play based learning
·Be responsible for key children, taking observations and assessments and providing activities that will benefit each individual child's development
·Support all staff and engage in a good staff team
·Liaise with and support parents and carers
Requirements for this role:
·Minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare or equivalent (with experience)
·Clear Enhanced DBS
·You must have a passion to safeguard and improve outcomes for all children
·Understanding of play based approach to children's learning and development
·An understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
·Knowledge of child protection procedures
·Passion for working with children
·Strong communication skills: written and verbal
·Good timekeeping and organisational skills
